Position Overview

 

FFDA is looking for an Administrative Professional to serve as the Tax Processing Coordinator in our Springfield, IL office. FFDA prepares and files over 3,600 tax returns each year. The Tax Control function is part of the Tax Department and services as the management function for the logistical and technological aspects of client tax returns.

 

This is a great opportunity for an Administrative Professional with at least 2 years experience, and a background in bookkeeping, accounting and/or taxes.  Responsibilities include but are not limited to:  printing and assembling of all types of tax returns, electronically submitting returns to the taxing authorities, monitoring and resolving rejected tax filings, maintaining accurate records of return filing status including ensuring the company is compliant with preparer and ERO requirements, completion of various daily tasks requiring computer literacy, and other general office tasks.  Additionally, this position is responsible for coordinating the flow of tax returns throughout the tax department from before preparation to final distribution to clients. This position will be working in our Tax Department and will require strong attention to detail as well as the ability to research information and have timely communication with internal staff.

 

Desired Skills/Experience/Attributes

 

  • 2 years administrative experience required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft office including Excel and Word.
  • Interest/Experience in Accountant/Tax helpful.
  • Self-starter
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.
  • Exceptional organization skills and time management skills.
  • Multi-tasker – ability to maintain high quality of work while dealing with numerous interruptions.
  • Ability to handle high volume of work while maintaining high standards of quality
