Position Overview

Fiducial is looking for a temporary Tax Preparer for their New York, NY office to support the Tax Managers.

The Tax Preparer will work in a team environment and will be primarily responsible for preparing individual, corporate and partnership tax returns as well as assisting in providing tax compliance, reporting and researching. This is a great role for someone who is looking to grow their knowledge in foreign taxation and work in in an international environment. This is a 6 months temporary role that may lead to a permanent hire.

 

Main Responsibilities:

  • Review financials statements and client documentation in order to prepare tax returns and associated forms and schedules
  • Prepare tax returns for individuals, partnerships and corporations with minimal supervision
  • Prepare international tax forms such as 5471, 5472, 8865, 8833, 8938 and FBAR’s
  • Work on a variety of projects and for a variety of managers on a daily basis
  • Research basic tax issues for compliance purposes
  • Assist with tax audits
  • Assist in following up with notices from tax authorities

 

Desired Skills/ Experience/Attributes

  • 2+ years of experience in a CPA firm mandatory.
  • 2+ year of experience with tax filing mandatory
  • Familiarity with international tax forms
  • Knowledge of Axcess tax software is a plus
  • Proficiency in Outlook, Excel, Word required
