Fiducial's US business plan is geared for continued expansion, and we are looking for an experienced professional who wants to be a part of this tremendous opportunity to fill the leadership role of Director of Compliance and Product Support and Development, reporting directly to our COO. The position will be based in our office located in New York City.  The Director will lead two interrelated support departments and fill the roles of product manager and chief compliance officer for the Fiducial companies.  He/she will act as chief compliance officer who will oversee the Corporate Compliance Program, functioning as an independent and objective body that reviews and evaluates compliance issues/concerns within the organization. The position ensures that the directors, management and employees are in compliance with the rules and regulations of regulatory agencies, that company policies and procedures are being followed, and that professional behavior in the organization meets the company’s Standards of Conduct. Additionally, the Director of Compliance and Product Support and Development will be responsible for reviewing and revisiting the existing company policies and procedures, and adapting them to the new requirements or at the direction of management.

 

 Key Responsibilities:

  •  IRS representation
  • Quality Control process: design & implementation
  • Technical support to the Field (questions/help on systems)
  • Company policy design & enforcement
  • Participation as Business Analyst/Project Management role and technical validation of IT system changes and development (i.e.Selection of the future Tax software - Ultra Tax or CCH cloud version)
  • Centralization and Management of Fiducial US training (CE, content, organization etc.)

 

Desired Skills/ Experience/Attributes

  • Must have an active CPA license or a tax credential specifically recognized by the IRS.
  • Current Knowledge of AICPA standards and codifications.
  • 5+ years of experience in business tax preparation.
  • 5+ years of experience in public accounting with emphasis on non-SEC clients with a focus in small business.
  • Previous experiences in software selection, implementation and maintenance.
  • Previous experience in documentation of company policies and procedures.
  • 2 years of experience with IRS e-Services for e-File Providers and Partners.
  • Experience in managing the roll out of training systems
  • Knowledge of NASBA and IRS CE Provider requirements.
  • Ability to effectively present information to executive leadership.
  • Proven ability to lead and motivate a successful management team and staff.

Education, Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Services, Business Administration, or other business related field.
  • CPA required or tax credentials recognized by IRS
  • MBA preferred
