Role and Responsibilities

The Full Charge Bookkeeper Trainee is an entry level position designed to put on the Accounting Training Plan to be classified as a Full Charge Bookkeeper upon completion.  This Career Path includes a number of steps (milestones).  The employee will be provided training so they can adequately achieve the various milestones and move forward in the plan.  Training steps include:

·         Check Entry

·         Check Coding

·         Bank Reconciliation

·         Financial Reporting/Statements

·         Sales Tax

·         Other Taxes

·         1099 Detailing and Preparation

·         Account Review

·         Depreciation

·         Journal Entries

·         Year End Review

·         ATF/Payroll Taxes

 

Qualifications and Education Requirements

Qualified candidate will have previous experience with either bookkeeping or accounting.  An associate’s degree in accounting is preferred.  Quickbooks experience is necessary.  Experience working with computer software systems and general office knowledge is required.  Must have the ability to communicate with clients and coworkers via email and phone in a professional manner.  Willingness to learn and take responsibility for work product is essential.

Preferred Skills

Must be experienced in Excel and other Microsoft programs including Outlook & Word.   Organization and time management skills.  Knowledge of general office equipment.  Attention to detail & ability to self-review.
