In our Bethesda office, we focus on providing outsourced CFO, accounting, tax, Mergers and Acquisitions, and management consulting services to Government Contractors, Not-For-Profit organizations and other businesses in the DC Metropolitan area and beyond.

Our staff consists of seasoned professionals, with experience in the areas of DCAA Compliance, Cost Accounting, Contract Pricing, Corporate Finance, Mergers and Acquisitions, and Taxation.

Position Overview

  • Develop and maintain an understanding of the accounting operations within the clients' organization.
  • Review and/or perform government billing and AP functions
  • Respond to client inquires and be the primary point of contact
  • Perform month end close process
  • Review monthly bank and /or investment account reconciliations
  • Maintain fixed assets schedule
  • Prepare work in process schedules for construction clients
  • Prepare job cost reports
  • Prepare various general ledger account reconciliations
  • Prepare financial statements for the client by the agreed upon deadline. Accounting Supervisor must review and approve before submission to client
  • Train and oversee staff assigned to the engagements.
  • Perform other activities as outlined in the service level agreement for the assigned clients

  DesiredSkills/ Experience/Attributes

  • CPA with 5+ years of audit or outsourced accounting experience.
  • Must have government contracting experience.
  • Ability to work well with and train accounting clerical staff in policies and procedures, proper accounting and retaining necessary documentation for recorded transactions.
  • Experience in performing or assisting with the month end close
  • Proficiency with Viewpoint and Quickbooks.
  • Proficiency with Deltek GCS and other construction software a plus.
  • A service mentality to non-finance departments and a good understanding of CAS, internal controls, and processes.
  • Ability to work independently on client assignments. Strong time management, organizational skills, attention to detail, communication, and interpersonal skills are required.

Education, Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, or other business-related field 
  • Must have an active CPA license
