Position Overview

The Business Advisor works in an exciting team environment supervising all aspects of business counseling, accounting and tax preparation for 60+clients. The successful candidate will be instrumental in client management and business development initiatives.

A multi-faceted position, this opportunity includes monitoring business production pertaining to overseeing accounting reports and answering technical processing and accounting questions for clients. The Business Advisor is responsible for handling special projects as assigned to include responsibilities for managing an office or sections of an office.  This dynamic position is well suited for tax professionals with strong expertise in preparing personal and business tax returns and preparation of financial statements.

Desired Skills/ Experience/Attributes

  • 3-5  years of accounting experience including bookkeeping and write up for small businesses
  • 2  years of proven experience preparing and reviewing tax returns:individual and business tax experience needed.
  • Payroll experience
  • Proven track record of solving practical problems and dealing with a variety of variables in situations where limited standardization exists.
  • Proven ability to handle a high-volume workload at a high level of efficiency including monitoring production and payroll processing; answering technical processing and accounting questions; and client reporting.
  • High proficiency with accounting and office software applications
  • Proven experience in technical tax competencies on individual, corporation, s-corporation and partnership matters

Education, Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, or other business-related field preferred
