Position Overview

FFDA is looking for a Collector for the Springfield, IL branch.

Desired Skills/ Experience/Attributes

  • 2+ years strong customer service experience
  • Previous collections experience with knowledge of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act
  • Communicate professionally and appropriately with Funeral Homes, debtors, credit agencies and law firms in writing and on the telephone
  • Possess working knowledge of credit laws, probate laws and usury laws
  • Be able to make independent decisions concerning the collection process
  • Willingness to accept additional assignments or special projects as delegated
  • Document with great detail regarding communication with individuals and clients about an account
  • Understanding and applying Accounts Receivable and Collections procedures in an autonomous and proactive manner
  • Ability to work with MS Office Suite
