Senior Payroll Professional

Summary:  Facilitates the timely and accurate processing of payroll for multiple companies located in multiple states.  Works on other payroll projects as assigned.  Must be able to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and meet deadlines under sometimes stressful conditions while maintaining professionalism and enthusiasm.

 

Specific Job Duties:

 

Sets up client and employee information in the system.

Accurately changes employee information (taxes, direct deposit, rate of pay, etc.)

Computes, processes and reconciles payroll data.

Other duties as assigned.

 

Education Level: High School diploma.  Associates degree preferred.  Min. 2 years experience in payroll processing.

 

Skills and Abilities:

 

Solid understanding of payroll and payroll taxes, including tax laws, wage and garnishments.

Works well in a team environment as well as independently.

Demonstrate high degree of accuracy in all work performed.

Able to multi-task in a fast paced environment.

Exceptional client/customer service skills

Excellent communication skills (both verbally and in writing)

 

 

 

Office Equipment & Special Software:

 

  • Excellent Computer experience:  Automated Systems, Word and Excel
  • Knowledge of other payroll systems including ADP, Paychex, etc.
